2026 Information
Dates: June 30-July 4, 2026
| 2026 Sliding Scale | 2 people | 3 people | 4 people | 5 people | additional per person |
| Supported Cost: B | $400 | $500 | $600 | $700 | $100 |
| Supported Cost: A | $525 | $700 | $875 | $1,050 | $175 |
| Full Tuition Cost | $700 | $950 | $1,200 | $1,450 | $250 |
- Children 3 and under are free, as are adults serving as staff or volunteers during youth sessions this summer.
- Family Camp fees are a sliding scale, our goal is to make camp affordable to as many families as possible, while still operating a high-quality camp for our small scale. The pricing structure you chose has no impact on your family's experience at Mountain Friends Camp, and is confidential beyond a few key staff/officers. We trust families to use our community's core values including Integrity, Community, Equality and Stewardship when choosing how much to pay.
- Full Tuition: this reflects our real operating costs for camp. If every family paid at this level, we would break even for 2026. We rely on families who can afford to pay this full tuition to keep camp affordable for those receiving discounts and camperships. Any amount given over the Full Tuition cost will be recognized as a tax deductible donation.
- Supported Cost A and B: These are the discounted rates, funded in part through Intermountain Yearly Meeting and annual fundraising. Additional work trade discounts, and zero-interest payment plans are available as well.
- Arrival is 11am-12 noon. Departure is roughly 10 am.
- Family camp is designed for families with children ages 9 and under, but let us know if you would like to talk about bringing and older child or teen as well. We welcome young kids, grandparents, extended, adopted, single and LGBTQ families. There is not a younger or older age limit, but families with members who are very young, elderly, or who have limited mobility will want to discuss carefully and are encouraged to ask plenty of questions before signing up.

About Family Camp
Mountain Friends Camp is a chance for your family to enjoy simple, joyful, community living that is grounded in nature and in experiencing Quaker values. The campground is simple and rustic, with running water a short walk from the yurts to the bathhouse. Families will sleep in either a yurt or in a tent (MFC has a limited number to share), or there is parking space for 1-2 camper vans but no RV hookups. Depending on numbers, yurts will likely be shared between 1-3 family groups (each yurt has 2 sides with 8 twin bunk beds per side). We get to spend almost all day outdoors at camp, and some of the terrain is uneven. Read more about the location.
We make our own fun and entertainment at camp and unplug from our phones and other devices. Everyone helps wash dishes, and we take turns helping cook or with other plork (play+work) projects. Parents and other family members will help lead and offer activities, our small staff will have ideas too. Past years we have enjoyed hiking, creating art projects, canoeing (and sometimes swimming) in the lake, story telling, unstructured nature play, music making, skits and cooperative games, Quaker worship and sharing, and time to relax and simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Family camp activities are mostly for you to enjoy as a family, so parents/guardians are primarily responsible for your children throughout family camp. There are one or two designated times each day where camp staff provide supervised activities for the children, so adults can connect or relax.
If you are interested in participating in Family Camp, see pre-registration link above or contact us with questions.
